Freitas Trenchless & Plumbing

Spot repair · full replacement · re-grade

A permanent fix,
chosen from footage.

When a line has failed structurally, the question is not whether to fix it but which method actually solves it. We diagnose from camera footage, present the methods that genuinely apply to your line, and price them side by side.

  • Camera and locate before any recommendation, never a guess from the cleanout
  • Spot repairs where a single defect is the problem, full replacement where it is not
  • Correct back-pitch and belly by re-grading, which no lining method can do
  • Surface restoration coordinated and scoped in writing up front

Fit

When this is the right call,
and when it isn’t.

Selling you the wrong method is how a job comes back. Here is where this one genuinely wins, and where we will tell you to spend the money differently.

Right for

Collapsed or crushed pipe

Nothing left to line against. The pipe has to be replaced, by excavation or by bursting.

Back-pitch, bellies, and standing water

A grade problem is a geometry problem. Only replacement re-establishes correct fall.

Repeated backups after repeated cleanings

If you are jetting the same line every year, you are renting a fix. Replacement ends it.

Offset joints and separated connections

Common where ground has moved, trees have grown, or the original bedding washed out.

Method

How the work
actually runs.

No surprises on the day. This is the sequence, start to finish.

Locate and survey

We camera the line, mark it above ground, and record depth and run length so the scope is based on measurements.

Scope the methods

You get the real options (spot repair, bursting, lining, or open-cut) with what each one costs and what each one leaves behind.

Permit and protect

We prepare documentation for the municipality and protect surfaces, access, and landscaping before anything opens.

Replace and bed

New pipe set to correct grade on proper bedding, connections made, and the line pressure and flow checked.

Backfill and verify

Compacted backfill, surface restoration per the agreed scope, and a final camera run for your records.

Why trenchless wins here

The restoration is
the real cost.

Same property, same failed line, two methods. Drag to compare what each one leaves behind.

Open-cut Trenchless
Drag to compare
The same property and the same failed sewer line, repaired two ways. Open-cut removes 58 linear feet of driveway and landscaping over four to seven days. The trenchless method replaces the same line through two small access pits in a single day, leaving the surface untouched.

Questions

Sewer Line Repair & Replacement:
what people ask.

How do I know if I need a repair or a full replacement?

Camera footage answers it. A single defect in otherwise sound pipe is a spot repair. Multiple failures along the run, or a grade problem, means replacement. We show you the footage rather than asking you to take our word for it.

Who is responsible for the line between my house and the street?

In most Westchester municipalities the property owner owns and maintains the lateral all the way to the main, including the portion under the street and sidewalk. Rules vary by town, so we confirm yours before scoping.

Will my homeowners insurance cover this?

Standard policies rarely cover the failed pipe itself, but many cover resulting water damage, and some carry a service-line endorsement. Our documentation and footage is what your carrier will ask for.

Next step

Start with footage.
Then decide what it needs.

Every Freitas job begins with a camera survey, because a five-figure repair decision should be made from evidence rather than from a guess at the cleanout. Tell us what the property is doing and we will take it from there.

  • Camera survey before any recommendation, every time
  • Written scope with each viable method priced side by side
  • Your own copy of the footage, whoever you hire
  • One licensed in-house crew, never subcontracted
