CIPP · 3–8 in. laterals · one-day cure
We rebuild the pipe.
Not the driveway.
Cured-in-place pipe lining rebuilds a failing sewer line from the inside. A resin-saturated liner is pulled through the existing pipe, inflated, and cured into a new jointless pipe within the old one, through a single access point, with the surface above left intact.
- No trench across driveways, patios, mature landscaping, or finished basements
- Seals root intrusion at the joints permanently, because there are no joints left to invade
- Most residential laterals are lined and back in service the same day
- Camera verification before and after, with footage handed to you
Fit
When this is the right call,
and when it isn’t.
Selling you the wrong method is how a job comes back. Here is where this one genuinely wins, and where we will tell you to spend the money differently.
Root intrusion at the joints
The most common failure on clay and cast-iron laterals in older Westchester neighbourhoods. Lining eliminates the joints entirely.
Cracked or corroded pipe with sound alignment
If the host pipe still holds its line and grade, lining is almost always the faster and less destructive fix.
Lines under hardscape you do not want to lose
Paver driveways, stamped concrete, stone walls, specimen trees, or a finished basement slab.
Occupied buildings that cannot lose access
Multi-unit and commercial work where a week-long open trench is not an option.
Fully collapsed pipe
If there is no host pipe left to line against, you need pipe bursting or a spot excavation. We will tell you that from the footage.
Severe back-pitch or belly
Lining follows the existing grade. It will not fix a line that runs uphill. That needs replacement.
Undersized line for the building load
If the pipe was too small to begin with, bursting to a larger diameter is the better spend.
Method
How the work
actually runs.
No surprises on the day. This is the sequence, start to finish.
Camera the line
CCTV survey from the cleanout to the main. We locate every defect, measure the run, and confirm depth before quoting anything.
Clean and prepare
Hydro jetting and mechanical cutting strip roots, scale, and grease so the liner bonds to sound pipe wall.
Wet out and install
The liner is saturated with resin, inverted or pulled into position, and inflated tight against the host pipe.
Cure and reinstate
The resin cures into a hard, jointless pipe. Branch connections are reinstated by robotic cutter.
Verify and document
A post-installation camera run confirms the result. You get the footage and a written summary for your records.

Questions
Trenchless Pipe Lining:
what people ask.
How long does a lined pipe last?
CIPP liners are engineered for a 50-year design life. The liner is a jointless structural pipe inside the old one, so the failure modes that killed the original (root intrusion at joints, corrosion, offset connections) no longer apply. You get the warranty that applies to your job in writing, with your scope of work, before you commit to anything.
Does lining reduce the pipe diameter?
Marginally, by the liner wall thickness. Because the new interior is smooth and jointless, flow capacity typically matches or exceeds the original corroded or root-filled pipe.
Do you still have to dig at all?
Usually we work from an existing cleanout with no excavation. Some properties need one small access pit, roughly the size of a doorway, rather than a trench along the whole run.
Can you line a line under the street?
Often yes, but work in the public right-of-way requires municipal permitting and coordination. We handle the technical documentation and tell you exactly what the town needs.

Next step
Start with footage.
Then decide what it needs.
Every Freitas job begins with a camera survey, because a five-figure repair decision should be made from evidence rather than from a guess at the cleanout. Tell us what the property is doing and we will take it from there.
- Camera survey before any recommendation, every time
- Written scope with each viable method priced side by side
- Your own copy of the footage, whoever you hire
