Using this website
This site is published by Freitas Plumbing Corp.. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information on this site is general
The explanations of trenchless lining, pipe bursting, sewer replacement, jetting, and everything else described here are general descriptions of methods. They are not an engineering assessment of your property and must not be relied on as one. Which method your line actually needs depends on conditions that can only be established by inspecting it. Nothing on this site is a diagnosis.
Requesting work
Submitting the form, calling, or emailing starts a conversation. It does not create a contract and does not reserve a time slot. A job exists when we have given you a written scope of work and you have accepted it.
We do not quote prices for sewer work over the phone or by email before inspecting the line, because an honest price cannot be produced without seeing the line. Any figure discussed before an inspection is an indication of range only and is not an offer.
Quotes, scope, and changes
A written quote covers the scope described in it, based on the conditions found at the time of inspection. Underground work regularly uncovers conditions that could not be seen beforehand, such as unrecorded utilities, rock, unexpected depth, collapsed sections beyond the surveyed run, or non-compliant earlier work. Where that happens we will stop, explain what we have found, and agree any change in scope and price with you in writing before continuing.
Unless the written scope says otherwise, surface restoration is limited to backfill and compaction. Final finishes such as paving, concrete, planting, and landscaping are not included.
Access, permits, and your responsibilities
You agree to give us safe access to the property and to the cleanouts, mechanical rooms, or other working areas for the agreed times, to secure pets, and to tell us about anything you know of that is buried on the property, including private utilities, irrigation, septic components, and invisible fencing, none of which appear in public utility locates.
Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, permits are held by the property owner. We will prepare the technical documentation, guide the process, and attend inspections.
Where you are not the owner of the property, you confirm that you have the owner's authority to instruct the work.
Scheduling
Arrival windows are estimates. Emergency work, weather, and conditions found on earlier jobs can move them. We will tell you as soon as we know. Emergency call-outs are charged at the rate quoted to you on the phone before we dispatch.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in your written scope of work. Work is invoiced as described there. We do not take payment card details through this website.
Warranty
Workmanship and materials are covered by the warranty stated in your written scope of work. Manufacturer warranties on materials such as liners and pipe are passed through to you.
A warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, by anything put into the line that should not be, by ground movement or tree growth after completion where the scope did not address it, by work done by others, or by conditions we identified in writing and were not engaged to fix.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, our total liability arising out of any job is limited to the amount paid for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost business, lost rent, or loss of profit. Consumers have rights under state law that these terms do not affect.
If something goes wrong
Tell us first. Call (914) 772-4348 or email hello@freitasplumbing.com and we will come and look. Most problems are resolved faster by the crew that did the work than by anyone else.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Westchester County, New York.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here on the day you accept a written scope of work is the version that applies to that job.
